Physical Profile (height, build, weight, style of dress, hair color, eye color, skin tone etc.):
Build: By any means, Harley is a dainty, petite-looking girl. Her legs are long, her middle thin, her arms lightly defined. She has the body of your average Olympic gymnast, and works hard to maintain this appearance. Her breasts are perfectly hand sized below her protruding collar bone and long neck and her fingers are thin, bony and her nails are nearly always painted red, to disguise the blood under her fingernails. She is precisely 5'3, though she is up to four inches taller when in heels..
Complexion: Harley's skin is as pale and clear as a porcelain doll, it's only distinctive marking is a tattoo on her right hip of the diamond pattern she was named after.
Face: Harley's face would be soft and angelic. Her pale blue eyes are wide and curious-looking, framed by inky black lashes. Her nose is small and round and button-like. Her face is heart shaped and her lips are small but full. Of course, she would be soft and angelic, if not for the crazed look on her face.
Hair: Harley's hair is blonde ( though she's secretly a brunette), so much so that is nearly white from years of bleaching and is long, neatly curled and set. To match her 'uniform' she wears her hair in two low pigtails, with the bells from a clown's costume tied into each.
Style Of Dress: When out of uniform, Harley is usually found in girly dresses, usually red or black, fur coats and high heels. Needless to say, she dresses like your typical moll. When she's ready for "business", she often dons a red dress shirt, under a black vest with silver buttons. She matches this with a harlequin red-and-black patterned skirt. Beneath that, she wears footless leggings, a black one on her left leg, a red one on her right. As for shoes, she wears traditional laced gymnast shoes, a black one on her right food, a red one on her left.
Personality:
There are two very different sides to Miss Harley Quinn.
On the one hand, Harley could be considered a deeply well-mannered individual. With a classy demeanor, she was obviously brought up in an wealthy home, and grew up being taught the virtues that are taught to a child whose parents want to impress their fellow upper class citizens. She is very obedient both in the work place and every day life, more specifically to those older than she. She's very loyal, but cautious about who she befriends. She is obedient, but doesn't allow this to hinder her chances to get what she want. Because of this, she is also very naive, and willing to believe whatever She was taught to be seen and not heard. When Harley speaks, she speaks because she has something to say, something vital, something important and above all, something very intelligent.
On the other side, the darker, more dominant side of Harley's personality, her behavior becomes more erratic (she doesn't know it, but she is a text book sociopath with underlying dissociative identity disorder). She is a lady with a plan, an apathetic, manipulative social-climber who will do whatever she needs to do in order to get what she wants. She is incredibly stubborn and goal orientated. When things don't go according to plan, she is quick to anger and violence.
In both sides of her personality, she is considered very needy. When she has a close relationship, whether it be romantic or otherwise. It is obvious that she needs attention, and the more she gets, the happier she is.
What Side Is Your Character On?
Villains.
Background and History:
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Harleen. Harleen spent much of her childhood in the company of a nanny, as her parents spent all of their time, energy and affection on the prestigious jobs they held. Her father, George Quinzel met her mother, Moira La'Morte-Quinzel at a conference, and in order to further both of their social statuses married just months later. When Moira became pregnant with her first and only child, she thought of it as nothing more than a bump in the road to her own personal success.
Once Harley was born, Moira passed her off to the nanny and went back to work, never bonding with her child. George spent much of his time away on business trips, and didn't even take time off to see the birth of his daughter.
As Harley grew, she was thrown into after school activities, as she was constantly "pestering' her mother, and learned such skills as gymnastics, karate and cheer leading. She soon realized that success was the only way to gain her parents affection, and soon excelled in all three of these areas, surpassing all of her fellow students, and even surpassing the teachers.
When this did not gain her parents attention, Harley turned to scholastic means to gain the affection she so desperately craved. Harley skipped sophomore and junior years in high school, and was salutatorian in her graduating class; her parents forgot about her graduation.
Harley went to a prestigious college, spending most of her senior year partying and trying to forget the desperate need to please her parents. This lead to her failing several of her classes, though she earned passing grades due to her skills on her back.
Due to her outstanding resume, Harley took an internship at Arkham Asylum, in the high-security Curables ward.
Any Special Abilities?
Harley is a very talented gymnast. She has no super powers per se, but possesses a clever mind and the sociopath tendencies to put her plans into action. Eventually, thanks to her eventual friend, Pamela Isley, harley develops an immunity to toxins, and above average (though not by tooo much) strength.
Pets:
Her babies, Bud and Lou
Name of Play By:
Amanda Seyfried
Example Role Play:
There were few things that Harleen Quinzel really enjoyed, but the things she did enjoy were simple pleasures. Fresh blood against the blade of a scalpel made her smile, and the sound of nails on a chalkboard sent shivers down her spine. She loved the way dogs growled, and when glass broke during arguments. She enjoyed the occasional martini, the sounds that came from her victrola and the feeling of a pommel horse beneath her hands. But nothing compared to the sheer happiness and satisfaction she felt when she sat down, her black rimmed glasses framing her icy blues, to hear the stories and plans of the extreme cases at Arkham Asylum.
She had studied his case file thousands of times. With the crumpled and coffee-stained pages of her copy of his life in pages placed evenly on her lap, she sat down to meet the most interesting person she’d ever heard of. Her heart flittered with excitement, the way she could imagine an artist’s would when meeting DaVinci, or Mozart. When he sat, shackled and bolted into the chair parallel to hers, she noticed the eerie sort of cheer in his eyes, and she smiled the professional sort of smile she’d practiced all morning. She knew she would love this job.
